Private viewing with Lord Stanley’s Cup for two CQSB students

The annual pilgrimage of hockey’s most prized possession stopped in Quebec City last week. Proudly carrying the Stanley Cup into the region was Boston Bruin forward, Patrice Bergeron who helped propel the Bruins to Stanley Cup victory over the Vancouver Canucks in this year’s NHL finals.

A young cancer patient, returns to Quebec City with good news

After a year-long battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer, Shawn Bélanger, 20 ,will return home to Quebec next week with good news: two months of clean scans.

QHS Student drafted in First Round of the QMJHL

This past Saturday, the QMJHL held its entry draft at the Coliseum Desjardins in Victoriaville. Over 200 hockey players from Quebec, the Maritimes and the United States were vying for spots on the 17 teams in the league.

Hockey team, what hockey team?

      Looks like a new (old) hockey team in Winnipeg is almost a done deal. They followed the rules , they got a new stadium ( paid mostly for by private money) and they're certainly as enthusiastic as Quebec City fans, if not more. Hockey is a great money maker for any city that has a team and I think it would be great if we had one here.

The top athletes of Champlain St. Lawrence College were honored last Thursday evening during its annual sports banquet. Many athletes were given awards for their academic performance as well as their athletic performance.

Last SaturdayApril 9, 2011 was held a volleyball tournament at the ''Polyvalente Benoit Vachon'' to collect money for the multiple sclerosis. Four students Alexandra Duclos, Stéphanie Ross, Audrey Royer Roy and Kassandra Jacques from St-Lawrence college organized this event as a part of a school project.

Hockey Lions swept Lionel Groulx last weekend in two straight games to win their quarterfinals. Next up for the Lions a semifinal matchup against St-Laurent beginning Friday April 1st in Ancienne-Lorette

With play-off fever starting to build, the Saint Lawrence Lions eliminated College Lionel Groulx in two straight games in a best of three series played this past weekend. Both teams met on five occasions during regular season play. The Lions won all five contests, outscoring their rivals 34-14.
