On May 22 and 23, Quebec High School is proud to present Alice’s Adventure with Poorly Cooked Cafeteria Seafood by Don Zolidis. This modern, laugh‐out‐loud twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale is brought to life by the QHS Performing Arts Concentration students under the direction of Laurie Thibeault.
Alice is having the worst day imaginable. Her genius little brother is forcing her to play Dungeons & Dragons with his eccentric friend, and she’s just landed herself in detention with the meanest teacher in school, Miss Snodgrass. Desperate for an escape – and perhaps a trip to the hospital – Alice eats as much mysterious cafeteria fish as she can.
What follows is a wildly bizarre series of hallucinations with a suspicious resemblance to another very famous Alice story… Expect quirky characters, absurd situations and plenty of unexpected laughs along the way!
Playwright Don Zolidis is one of the most‐produced dramatists in the world and a former middle and high school theatre teacher. With more than 140 published plays and over 25,000 productions, his work has been staged in every province and in more than 80 countries worldwide.
The dedicated Performing Arts students have been working very hard and hope you will take a leap down the rabbit hole on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Webster Auditorium at QHS for an unforgettable evening of comedy and creativity.
