The Morrin Centre is delighted to once again extend, in collaboration with Les Violons du Roy, an invitation to participate in its pre-concert talks series, Music Matters. These talks allow attendees to deepen their appreciation for music, better understand the subtlety of the performance all the while learning the history of the pieces to be performed. These lectures take place in a casual atmosphere in the comfort of our beautiful Victorian library.

Erik Patkau, assistant conductor of Les Violons du Roy, continues the season with a talk which will take a closer look at Vivaldi's Gloria. A unique occasion to discuss of this jewel of choral music as well as other works featured in the program, such as Haydn's Paukenmesse.

The concert takes place at Palais Montcalm at 8:00 p.m.,  following the talk on Thursday December 2, which starts at 6:45 p.m. Free for concert ticket holders; $5 for LHSQ members and $8 for non-members.  For reservation or information call 418 694-9147 or email us at [email protected]
