Nathalie Wilkie of Salmon Arm, B.C., is all smiles after receiving Canada’s first gold medal at the 2026 Paralympic Games in Milan Cortina. Wilkie won the 12.5-km women’s standing para biathlon on March 8, after winning silver in the para biathlon sprint the day before. As of March 9, Canadian athletes have a total of seven medals – one gold, three silver and three bronze. The Paralympic Games began on March 6 and will come to a close on March 15.
