This photo was snapped in Tadoussac in late October by QCT journalist Danielle Burns. She says, “After reading a CBC article titled ‘St. Lawrence estuary is swimming with an abundance of whales,’ I booked a ticket for an AML whale-watching cruise. We had barely even left the dock before we were surrounded by belugas, humpbacks, minke and fin whales and grey seals. We saw the tail of a humpback in the marine park near Tadoussac, where at least 100 humpbacks have been spotted this year, double the usual number.” (Photo by Danielle Burns)
