LETTER TO THE EDITOR: PAF organizers deserve a round of applause!
Dear QCT,
On April 9, the CQSB celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Performing Arts Festival (Elementary School Edition) (Editors’ note: see story in this edition). Once again, it was fantastic. All of the performances were colourful, engaging and demonstrated proof of many hours of work and preparation. Bravo to all of the schools who participated in the event. The hard work really paid off! Bravo also to Bronwen Hughes and Paul Hinton (and everyone else who works behind the scenes and sponsors this event) for making it possible for our students to learn about the arts in different ways (for example, the workshops the children participated in). Their dedication to the arts reinforces how important it is for our students to take part in such a grand event. This event must be repeated. It is so important for children to work together outside the classroom and experience the arts. To be able to perform at the Palais Montcalm is a once-in-a-lifetime experience they will not soon forget. Thank you to all!
