The performers of the Festival d’opéra de Québec’s Monteverdi, la naissance de l’opéra” take a bow at the end of the lively and deeply moving event which brought the audience as close as possible to the birth of opera. Musicians of Les Violons du Roy stand in front of the specially built stage for the performance in Église Saint-Dominique. Music director Jean-Marie Zeitouni is onstage, just to the right of centre in the floral shirt. Choreographer and dancer Marie-Nathalie Lacoursière is second from the right. (Photo by Shirley Nadeau)
