1932-2025

Joan Kane passed away peacefully, at the CHUL, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 93. 

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh T. Kane (Dorothea Mulroney) and sister of the late Rita Kane (late Edward R. Egan), the late John C. Kane, the late Hugh T. Kane, the late Elmar J. Kane (Brigid Riendeau), the late Minerva Kane (late Bernard Theriault) and the late J. Alphonsus Kane (late Donna Marie McNeil).

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 1145 Avenue de Salaberry, Quebec City, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at noon. 

The family will receive relatives and friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass, at 11 a.m.

She will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law, Brigid; her many dear nieces and nephews, especially her nephew Albert, her faithful companion for many years; and other relatives and good friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the CHUL Palliative Care medical staff for the excellent care she received in the final days of her life.
