Brenda Mae YOUNG

1959-2025

In Quebec City, on March 26, 2025, at the age of 65 years and 10 months, Mrs. Brenda Mae Young passed away. She was the wife of Mr. Philip Grenon and the daughter of the late Mrs. Lila Melnick and the late Mr. Ted Young. She resided in Quebec City since moving there 44 years ago from her beautiful hometown of Oak Bay in Victoria, B.C.

A private religious service for family and close friends will be organized on June 14 at 11:30 a.m. at Chalmers-Wesley United Church in Old Quebec. The burial will take place afterward at Mount Hermon Cemetery.

Brenda had fond memories of her youth, splitting her time between Oak Bay, where she attended Oak Bay High, and spending her summers in the Okanagan with her late brother Evan and her cousins. She moved to Quebec City in her early 20s, where she spent her life with her loving husband, Philip, with whom she built a life full of love, surrounded by her sons and her best pet friends Bubbles and Brady.

In addition to her husband Philip, she is survived by her sons: Westley (Gabrielle Du- four-Pelletier), Tristan and Myles (Vanessa Gagnon); her grandchild Abigail Rose Grenon; her late brother Evan Young; her brothers-in- law and sisters-in-law: Barb Young Bareza, the late Sheelagh Grenon, Romney Grenon (Marie St-Germain), Stephen Grenon (Lynn Nicolas), Marc Grenon (Paul Bourcier); her nephews and nieces: Chelsea Young (Gilito Valade), Sean Young (Alyssa Furneaux), Sonia Grenon, Jean-François Grenon (Mélanie Auclair-Fortier), as well as many other relatives and friends.
