This year, 2026, marks the 35th anniversary of Jeffery Hale Community Partners (JH Partners). This milestone reflects decades of dedication to the English-speaking community in the greater Quebec City region. While the pandemic prevented a proper celebration of our 30th anniversary in 2021, we are now embracing this opportunity to honour our journey and the impact we’ve made together.
We were incorporated in 1991 as Holland Resources Development Corporation or Holland Centre. In 2007, we adopted the name Jeffery Hale Community Partners, further solidifying our commitment to our roots in the legacy of Jeffery Hale, a philanthropist whose vision for caring for the most vulnerable members of our community continues to shape the organization today.
JH Partners’ mission is to better the health and wellness of the English-speaking community of the greater Quebec City region, with a focus on those most at risk. We operate with a community-first mindset, fostering resilience through evidence-based, strategic initiatives. We also play a leadership role in promoting the well-being of English speakers and ensuring their needs are taken into consideration in regional health planning. Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, as we work daily alongside both public institutions and nonprofit organizations alike in our shared community of care, inspired by Jeffery Hale.
What we do today
Always innovative and proactive, JH Partners continues to drive meaningful activities and services for all ages across multiple locations:
- The Jeffery Hale Pavilion: serves as a hub for diverse programs open to the community, including caregiver support, family activities and services for older adults.
- Saint Brigid’s Home: Providing Community Life Animation that creates social engagement opportunities to help residents maintain a connection to the community.
- McGreevy Manor: Fostering meaningful experiences, social connection and wellbeing among tenants of the Manor through our activities there.
- Various Community Spaces: Programs such as S.N.A.C.S. (Special Needs Activities and Community Services) and R.I.S.E. extend services to schools, local organizations and partner institutions.
Over the years, Jeffery Hale Community Partners has fostered a thriving, connected and supported English-speaking community. We have never ceased to expand our reach. On that note, we are excited to announce that we will soon be opening a new service site in Sainte-Foy, the Mary Gillespie House. Stay tuned for more news in the weeks to come.
As we celebrate 35 years of service and continue to roll out our new logo, we invite you to join us at our activities throughout the year. Explore an interactive game showcasing our history and help us reflect on the resilience and dedication that have shaped our journey. As a beacon of support for English-speaking residents, we look forward to strengthening connections and building the future – together – for the next 35 years and beyond.
