Valcartier Elementary School (VES) welcomed former students (who now attend three different high schools) to speak to our Grade 6 students who will be graduating this year. Students from Quebec High School, St. Patrick’s High School and École secondaire Mont-Saint-Sacrement came to the yurt and shared their high school experiences. Our Cycle 3 teacher, Leigh-Anne Fiset, also attended. It gave our Grade 6 students a chance to ask questions and voice their concerns about going to high school. It was also a time for laughter and memories. (Text submitted by Jayne Doddridge, community development agent, Valcartier Elementary School; photo by Emma Perrault)
