OBITUARY
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Anne Roberts (née Freeman), who left us peacefully on Sept. 22, 2026, at the age of 89, in Quebec City, Quebec.
Beloved wife of Alexander Kelso Roberts for 68 years, and cherished parent of Kelso (Sophie) and Alexander, she holds a special place in the hearts of her step-grandchildren, Maxim and Xavier.
She is also survived by her brother Derek Freeman (Sue), her nephew David and her brother-in-law Greer (Ingrid) along with her nieces Tanya and Natasha and their families.
She will be deeply missed by her extended family, including nephews Bruce and Michael and her niece Kathy, as well as her many friends.
A church service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (31 Rue des Jardins, Quebec City). The service will be followed by a reception at the back of the church, where guests can spend time with the family; food and refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-cathedral-of-the-holy-trinity) or the Fondation du CHU de Québec (Hôpital du Saint-Sacrement).
C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Cynthia Anne Roberts (née Freeman), survenu paisiblement le 22 septembre 2026, à l’âge de 89 ans, à Québec.
Elle laissera un grand vide dans la vie de son époux bien aimé depuis 68 ans, Alexander Kelso Roberts, ses fils adorés Kelso (Sophie) et Alexander et de ses petits-enfants par alliance Maxim et Xavier.
Elle laisse également dans le deuil son frère Derek Freeman (Sue), son neveu David, ainsi que son beau-frère Greer (Ingrid), ses nièces Tanya et Natasha et leurs familles.
Elle sera profondément regrettée par sa famille élargie, incluant ses neveux Bruce et Michael et sa nièce Kathy, ainsi que ses nombreux amis.
Un service religieux aura lieu le samedi 10 octobre 2026 à 11 h 00 à la Cathédrale Holy Trinity située au 31, rue des Jardins, Québec. La cérémonie sera suivie d’une réception à l’arrière de l’église, où les proches pourront se réunir avec la famille; des rafraîchissements et des bouchées seront servis.
