OBITUARY: Marion Evelyn KACK (1933-2022)

 

Marion Evelyn Kack passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Vaughan on Sept. 2, at age 89. Marion is survived by her loving sons Wayne (Josée Goulet) and Craig and her four cherished grandchildren Samantha, Félix, Sofie and Alexander. She will be greatly missed by her brother Allan (Joan Sinclair), her sister-in- law Elsa (late Robert Rourke) and her many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by her extended family on the Kack side, Shirley (late Billy Leahy), Rosita (Jimmy Kelly), Steve (Helen Wright), Donald (Doreen Samler), Ruth (late Jean-Marc Gourdon) and Terry (Kathleen Jones) along with her many nieces and nephews.

Marion is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Hilary Kack, her brother Robert (Elsa Stovold) and her sister Vivian (Kenneth Johnston).

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Ottawa (153 Woodroffe Avenue). A reception will be held in the Parish Hall after the mass. Inurnment/ burial will then follow at Pinecrest Cemetery (2500 Baseline Road).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to please consider a donation in Marion’s memory to Hospice Vaughan, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
