Meet Wilson, this year’s giant snowman built by Kevin Watson in Sillery. Some may remember Victor, the snowman that Watson built last winter, who was “only” 10 feet tall. Wilson is estimated to be 15 feet tall, including the black bucket “hat” on top of his head! He is so tall that his builders had to get a larger tarpaulin “raincoat” to protect him on rainy days! Why not take a walk in the forest to leave behind the winter blues, and invite a friend, relative or neighbour to join you? Face-to-face connections matter. Meaningful interactions can reduce anxiety and depression, boost empathy and resilience, strengthen immunity and increase longevity by up to 50 per cent. Connection benefits both the person reaching out and the person receiving the gesture, brightening another person’s day – and yours. (Photo by Lise Lafond)
