This engraving by artist John Masey Wright (1777–1866) and engraver John Rogers (c.1808-c. 1888) accompanied Robert Burn’s poem “Auld Lang Syne” in The Complete Works of Robert Burns: Containing the Poems, Songs, and Correspondence, effectively illustrating the festive good cheer of New Year’s Eve celebrations. It was made around 1841.
