Volunteers tend sizzling sausages at a Saturday morning pancake breakfast hosted in part by the Calgary Stampede. The event drew a crowd from the start at 10 a.m., with organizers prepared to serve up to 3,000 pancakes wrapped around an equal number of sausages. Volunteer Eric Wisniewski, who has marked 20 years with the Calgary–Québec partnership, told the QCT that the team arrived well ahead of the rush to keep the griddle hot and the food moving.
