Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies became the 21st player in Major League Baseball history to hit four home runs in one game on Aug. 28, when he and the Phillies thrashed the Atlanta Braves 19-4. He is the third player to achieve this feat in 2025, after the Athletics’ Nick Kurtz and Arizona’s Eugenio Suarez. Before this season, the last player to hit four home runs in one game was J.D. Martinez in 2017. Schwarber also became the fourth Phillie to do so, the last being Hall-of-Famer Mike Schmidt in 1976, against the Chicago Cubs.
