Celebrated conductor visiting Morrin Centre

JoAnn-Falletta-conducting.jpg As part of its "Arts Matters" programme, the Morrin Centre, in collaboration with the OSQ, is pleased to present a series of intimate talks with internationally renowned artists. Through these meetings, you will have the opportunity to satisfy your musical curiosity and enhance your understanding of the subtleties of the performances. These talks will take place in English in our beautiful Victorian library.

On Tuesday, December 14, 2010, we will welcome JoAnn Falletta, internationally renowned conductor and heralded by the New York Times as one of the "greatest conductors of her generation." During her impressive career, she has lead some of the world's greatest orchestras. She has also received several prestigious awards including the Seaver/National Endowment for the Arts Conductors Award and the American Symphony Orchestra League's John S. Edwards Award. JoAnn Falletta holds master's and doctorate degrees from Julliard University and has received 11 honorary doctorates.

The event starts at 7 p.m. and will be moderated by Simon Jacobs. This activity is free for concert ticketholders, $5 for members and $8 for non-members.
