St. Patrick’s Church celebrates its patron saint
Submitted by Marie White
This year, St. Patrick’s Church will celebrate its patron saint in a very particular way. First, a mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 17 at 7 p.m., presided over by our pastor, Father Réjean Lussier.
On Saturday, March 21, at 4 p.m., we will have the pleasure of welcoming His Eminence Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix for a pastoral visit. He will preside over the regular four o’clock mass. Families who have a child preparing for Holy Communion will also attend. At 7 p.m. that evening, the Cardinal will celebrate mass with the Filipino community. Everyone is invited.
On Sunday, March 22, the Cardinal will be with us again to celebrate Saint Patrick during the 10 a.m. mass.
On Saturday, March 28, there will be no 4 p.m. mass, due to the Défilé de la Saint-Patrick (Saint Patrick’s Day Parade), which starts at 2 p.m. The streets will be blocked off. If you want to walk in the parade, please contact Irish Heritage Quebec.
