Members of the Royal Rifles of Quebec, survivors of the Battle of Hong Kong, held captive at Ohashi Prison Camp in Japan for almost four years, were photographed prior to their evacuation on Sept. 15, 1945. This photo was signed on the back by three of the soldiers and given to Sally Blondal at the Hôpital militaire de Québec later in 1945. (Photo courtesy of Don Morris)
