Daylight Saving(s) Time

In response to Clive Meredith's query about Daylight Saving or Savings Time, here’s what Wikepedia has to say about it : "Although daylight saving time is considered to be correct, daylight savings time is commonly used. The form daylight saving time uses the present participle saving as an adjective [and we never put an "s" on an adjective when it is placed in front of the thing or things it describes], as in labour saving device; the first two words are sometimes hyphenated, as in daylight-saving time. The common variants daylight savings time and daylight savings use savings by analogy to a savings account." But we are saving daylight not money in the bank (savings) so Daylight Saving Time is the correct form.
