Collège François-Xavier-Garneau won the Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) Women's Soccer Championship beating the Ooks from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology by a final score of 2-1 in the city's first snowfall. The win was the Élans second in a row and sixth overall.

New book sheds light or gives insight about many little known details of Quebec City history

Few would notice that among the half dozen British 32-pounder cannons lining the Dufferin Terrace, two are Russian-made.

Two of the cannons bear the coat of arms of the Romanoffs, the Imperial family of Russia deposed during revolution in 1917, while the others bear the coat of arms of British King George III.
