NinkaFest: the last beach party of summer

On the evening of Friday, August 30, the Ninkasi du Faubourg Bar on rue Saint-Jean hosted NinkaFest, a family beach party at the Baie de Beauport to close the summer season. This well-planned event had something to please everyone: barefoot beach soccer, singers, bands, improvisational theatre, a pub quiz with a grand prize, refreshments and fire pits on the beach.

The site was easy to get to.

Jeffery Hale – Saint Brigid's receives Accreditation Canada’s highest honour

Accreditation Canada recently bestowed its highest honour, Accreditation with Exemplary Standing, upon Jeffery Hale - Saint Brigid's. "In addition to meeting the 27 required organizational practices, we comply with 95% of the 1,369 standards that apply to our establishment. This is huge!" exclaimed Didier Culat, chairman of the board of Jeffery Hale - Saint Brigid's.

Canadian Forces members attend “Based in Business” boot camp

Saturday, August 24, saw the end of an intensive, week-long entrepreneurial boot camp held for a group of transitioning Canadian Forces servicemen and women in Quebec City. "Based in Business" is a unique, national program for those interested in making the move from a military career to entrepreneurship.

Winners of the QCT Mystery Photo Contest

The last in the series of Mystery Photos was published in the August 28, 2013, issue. The name of the winner of last week's final mystery photo, will be published in the Wednesday, September 11, 2013, issue. The deadline for submissions is no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6.
