But the Château is not only a landmark edifice, it is also the location where many of the most important events in the history of the city have occurred.

SLC Lions hockey team gets back on the winning track

Zachary Bordeleau and Hugo Guillemette each scored one goal and added one assist to lead the CEGEP Champlain–St. Lawrence Lions hockey team to a 4-2 victory over the Dragons from Collège Laflèche (Trois-Rivières) on Oct. 27, in Réseau du Sport Étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) action.

Fighting Irish Juniors earn spot in Eastern Conference final

For the second straight season, the St. Patrick’s High School Fighting Irish junior football team met the Laser from École secondaire Les Sentiers, in the regional playoffs. But unlike 2018, when the Laser beat the Junior Irish in the Eastern Conference championship and also handed the Green and White their only loss of the season, this year was totally different.

Laval rugby women fall (again) to Ottawa in RSEQ championship

For the third straight year, the Université Laval Rouge et Or women’s rugby team lost the Réseau du Sport Étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) conference final to the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. This year Laval lost by a score of 25-15 on Oct. 25 at the Stade TELUS.

Jean-Simon Desgagnés of the Université Laval Rouge et Or defended his cross-country conference title in front of a big crowd on Oct. 26 on the Plains of Abraham, when he led his team to its ninth consecutive RSEQ banner.
