Jean Vanier and L’Arche, his life’s work

On May 7, Jean Vanier, a Canadian philosopher, theologian and humanitarian, passed away. Vanier helped change the world’s perception of people with developmental disabilities.

A Companion of the Order of Canada, a Grand Officer of the Order of Quebec and a recipient of the Templeton Prize, Jean Vanier spent most of his life quietly helping others, not looking for accolades.

Morrin Centre launches new tour and exhibit on capital punishment in Quebec City’s old jail

On May 15, Quebec City’s English-language cultural hub, the Morrin Centre, launched a new guided tour allowing visitors to travel back in time to when its building housed a prison.
