(Press release - National Battlefields Commission) From March 3 to 11, take part in a host of indoor and outdoor family activities on the Plains of Abraham: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, walking, rally and visit of a multimedia exhibition. This is what the National Battlefields Commission is proposing to both children and adults, who will no doubt be delighted by these various activities.

Angèle Dubeau coming March 22

Angèle Dubeau and La Pietà ensemble will perform on March 22 at the Palais Montcalm. La Pietà, a group founded by Dubeau in 1997, is an all-female string ensemble of eight to twelve of Canada's best musicians.

It is a milestone year for the famous Quebec violinist.

Duplicate Bridge, going to the dogs . . .

I have always had the desire to learn how to play Bridge and practiced a common form of the game on my computer with computerized players. No humans, just me and the robots in the program.

I thought I had been doing great.
Then a few weeks ago a notice was posted in our building announcing the formation of a group of players to play Duplicate Bridge on Monday evenings.

Gaétan Deslauriers (1918 - 2012)


Gaétan Deslauriers of Quebec City, who proudly served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from 1941 to 1947, died on February 22, 2012, at the age of 94 at CHUL. He was the husband of Lorraine Power.
