St.Vincent School Foundation Donates $12,000 to Playground Project


St.Vincent's School is $12,000 closer to its goal. For the past two years, the elementary school has been fundraising and planning for a new and improved playground that would be "more conducive to children's development and safety," says St.Vincent's Vice-Principal Gary Kenler.

All 550 students at St. Vincent Elementary School were offered a healthy treat on Wednesday, March 23. As part of the 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge, several volunteers organized a fruit smoothie party for the kids to highlight the importance of a healthy diet. Fruit smoothies are becoming more popular with people of all ages, and even Tim Horton's has taken notice.
