Université Laval Sports Activity Services (SAS), in conjunction with the Rouge et Or football team, will host a pre-season professional football game for the second time in history this summer at the Stadium TELUS-UL.

The City of Quebec has unveiled the model of a sculpture to be installed at Pointe-à-Carcy this spring. Artist Jacek Jarnuszkiewicz created the work as a tribute to the tradition of ice canoeing on the St. Lawrence River.

Domaine Pinnacle launches a new vodka

Charles Crawford, the founder of Domaine Pinnacle, recently launched Quartz, its latest premium brand of vodka, at a party at the Ice Hotel. Crawford was accompanied by former cosmetics mogul Lise Watier, who created the vodka. The place was buzzing with special guests.

Register now for Fit & Fun English Day Camp this summer

A one-of-a-kind day camp where English-speaking children ages 5-12 can enjoy themselves this summer is being offered by the Voice English-speaking Quebec and Be Active Quebec from June 29 to August 17, 2015. The camp is being held at St. Vincent Elementary School, 995 Avenue Wolfe, Quebec, at a cost of $125 per week.

The Fraser Institute comments on Quebec's upcoming budget

With the provincial budget set for release later this month, the government could improve Quebec's economic prospects by targeting debt and taxes, according to a study released on March 5, 2015, by the Fraser Institute, an independent, non-partisan Canadian public policy think-tank.

Quebec International Car Show focuses on beauty but little innovation

Set in 2015, the final instalment of the Back to the Future trilogy featured the flying DeLorean DMC-12, an automobile time machine powered by household waste. The 34th annual Salon international de l'Auto de Québec, held at the Centre de Foires de Québec from March 3 to 8, demonstrated that the future is definitely not here... yet.

Fernande Paquet, wife of the late Earl Dundon, died on March 3, 2015, at the age of 93, at the CHUL. She lived in Quebec City.
