Paul gives “all his loving” to the people of Quebec

Five years after enchanting his fans on the Plains of Abraham for Quebec City's 400th anniversary, Paul McCartney gave them another unforgettable evening on July 23rd.

Now in his 71st year, the indefatigable former Beatle performed his concert Out There for an adoring public on what was perhaps the most beautiful night of the summer.

The crowd on the Plains of Abraham on Saturday, July 27, was abuzz as they awaited the arrival on stage of Quebec's most celebrated artist. With only 60,000 tickets available for Céline Dion's once-only show outside Las Vegas, the excitement was understandable.

At a unique ceremony held at the Citadel of Quebec on Friday afternoon, Céline Dion and her husband, René Angélil, were awarded Order of Canada medals by Governor-General David Johnston.

His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis was born in London at 4:24 p.m. (11:24 a.m. EDT) on Monday, July 22. The delighted parents are Prince William and Catherine (fondly known as Kate), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The baby weighed a healthy 8 pounds 6 ounces.

Lepage’s final Image Mill: a tribute to Norman McLaren

This summer, movie buffs will be particularly eager to see the all-new Image Mill presentation, which is a tribute to Canadian film animation pioneer Norman McLaren (1914-1987). This sixth and final Moulin à images or Image Mill is presented on the 600-metre by 30-metre Bunge grain silos, which serve as a giant screen.

Ozalik, a spiritual and cultural journey

This past Tuesday, the fourth production of Ozalik at the outdoor amphitheatre in Wendake started its 2013 season. The two-hour show starts at 8:30 p.m., playing Tuesdays through Saturdays until August 17.

Ozalik is a contemporary interpretation of the mythology of the Huron-Wendat Nation, and features some 20 artists who illustrate their message in music, dance, theatre and circus acts.
