Record number of athletes at Pentathlon des Neiges

The Pentathlon des Neiges returned to the Plains of Abraham with a record-breaking number of participants. From Feb. 22 to March 1, this unique multi-sport event has attracted 6,000 athletes ready to run, bike, snowshoe, cross-country ski and/or skate. Since 2005, the pentathlon has encouraged people of all ages to discover, practise and enjoy winter sports.

Leboeuf and Modig defend their triathlon titles

Quebecer Maxime Leboeuf and Swede Lovisa Modig won big once again at the ITU S3 Winter Triathlon World Cup on the Plains of Abraham this weekend. On Feb. 23, Leboeuf climbed to the top of the podium for the fifth straight year. For Modig, it was her third consecutive victory.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif receives Quebec Medal of Honour

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, a tall, powerful offensive lineman (6’5”, 330 lbs.) who wears No. 76 for the Kansas City Chiefs, is the first NFL player to become a medical doctor during his football career. He also happens to be a Quebecer.
