The King’s Singers at the Palais
With snow lightly falling outside, skaters gliding across the rink in front of the Palais Montcalm, and Christmas lights twinkling in the trees, it seemed fitting that inside the warmth of the concert hall there would be Christmas tunes cascading from the stage. And ... where else would you expect the King's Singers to perform but in a palace?
Quartier Petit-Champlain celebrates Christmas
Place Royale and the streets in the Petit-Champlain district in the lower town of Old Quebec are bustling with activity in the days leading up to Christmas. Until Christmas Eve, children can meet Santa Claus and have their photo taken with him in his kingdom at Parc Félix-Leclerc, choirs will be roving the neighbourhood, and many costumed characters can be seen.
Sybil Mary (Montgomery) DACRES, 1923 - 2016
Sybil Mary Dacres, beloved wife of the late Willis David Montgomery, passed away peacefully at the CHUL, on November 24, 2016, at the age of 93. She lived in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier.
The funeral service was held on November 28, 2016, at St. Andrew's United Church in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier.
The OSQ brings Hollywood movies to the concert hall
Music lovers of all ages went to the Grand Théâtre de Québec for Hollywood en Famille II last Thursday and Saturday evening. Assistant conductor Nicolas Ellis led the musicians and choristers of the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec (OSQ) in a selection of music from the soundtracks of classic Hollywood films.

Anniversary celebrations at Trinity Church
Trinity Church in Sainte-Foy celebrated its 191st anniversary on Sunday, November 27, 2016, with Bishop Bruce Myers as our honoured guest. The service was followed by a catered dinner.
