Elsie Prévost receives Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal

Mrs. Elsie Prévost, age 91, was awarded a Silver Medal for Seniors by Lieutenant Governor Pierre Duchesne in recognition of her years of volunteer work throughout her life at a ceremony held on Sunday, April 10, at the Campus of Notre-Dame-de-Foy College in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures.

On April 15, 2011, the State Fair Community College Athletics Department in Sedalia, Missouri, USA, will induct Caroline Levasseur, a former SFCC basketball player and Quebec native into its Hall of Fame.

Betty and Henri, a Love Story is an original, interactive book concept by a husband and wife team. Stratford, Ontario, poet and humorist Charles Mountford is the author behind the words while Ruth is the artist behind the photographer's lens. Together, their two mediums capture the story.

Celebrating Tartan Day in Quebec City

On Wednesday morning, April 6, around thirty people, dressed in their finest tartan outfits with kilts, plaids, sporrans, knee-socks and brogues, representing Scottish regiments, clans, and Canadian provinces, filled the gallery of Quebec's National Assembly to witness the Question Period, and afterward enjoyed lunch at the beautiful Le Parlementaire restaurant to celebrate Tartan Day.


QHS plans a red carpet prom

For most high school students, the highlight of their final year is Prom Night. After months of preparation, teenagers gather to celebrate the end of their high school years and the beginning of their future.

The graduating students of Quebec High School are eagerly awaiting their big night. "A Night at the Oscars" will be the theme, complete with a red carpet.

The year 2011 may mean nothing to you but this year is a very significant year. It's the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. To many, even 400 years later, that old Book is still very precious.
