QAC earnestly prepares for spring production


Despite the gray, damp weather, spirits were high on the stage at Holland Elementary School this past weekend. The Quebec Art Company (QAC) will present Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest from April 26 to 28, and the whole company is hard at work. Sunday afternoon, the QCT went behind the scenes.

Designer Marie Dooley struts her stuff at Château Frontenac


I am sitting front row in the grand ballroom of the elegant Château Frontenac. No fewer than 27 chandeliers glitter overhead and spotlights heat up the catwalk. Upbeat pop music plays in the background and photographers scurry around testing equipment. Marie Dooley, the local designer who has been on the Quebec fashion scene since 1986, is busy backstage.
