We are looking for authors

girl_group_shot.jpgWe are looking for authors who can provide realistic voices for our contemporary Canadian girl characters aged 10-11 years. The stories are to be wholesome, inspiring, educational and entertaining for girls age 6 to 12.They will incorporate Canadian national and regional geography, heritage and culture in engaging fictional storylines.

Our four initial characters hail from the Rocky Mountains, rural Manitoba, downtown Toronto and Lunenburg Nova Scotia. New characters from yet-to-be disclosed locations are in development. We are particularily interested in finding an author who can write about life in Quebec. It
is our intention to have each character’s books penned by a different
author as it is important that the author have a strong local knowledge
of the area in which the character resides. Our immediate
project is for one chapter book per existing character and new
character, with plans for further books for each character to follow.

Writing guidelines and

some character descriptions and story themes will be provided but there
remains considerable scope for the imagination.
