A voyage through the RTC’s 150 years

Université Laval hosted the third Salon des Sociétés d’histoire de Québec: 150e anniversaire du RTC. Local historian Dale Gilbert gave a talk on how to plan a public transit system in the era of the automobile. The 1950s and 60s were a time of change: tramways had to make room for buses, many families purchased cars and moved to the suburbs, and highways were developed.
