Hundreds of semi-tractors drove down Grande Allée around the National Assembly on Saturday to protest the implementation of new safety rules that were drawn up without previous consultation with the Quebec Truckers Association.

Some 500 truckers, workers and owners of small transport companies from all over Quebec gathered in front of the Quebec National Assembly on Saturday, November 19. Early in the afternoon, a long convoy of semi-tractors without trailers made their way down Grande Allée for over an hour, honking their horns and revving their diesel engines.
