Rue Negabamat is a secluded and exclusive cul de sac with beautiful homes off Cote à Gignac, south of Chemin Saint-Louis, in Sillery.

Rue Negabamat in Sillery was named in honour of Noël Negabamat (1600-1666), also known as Tekouerimat. He was one of the principal Montagnais chiefs of Sillery. His life is an example of the Jesuit missionaries’ policy to convert the Amerindians to the Catholic faith and integrate them into the European way of living.
