Louis Jobin (1845-1928) was a Quebec sculptor who specialized in religious statuary.

This street is named in honour of Louis Jobin, best known as a sculptor of religious statuary, born in Saint-Raymond de Portneuf in 1845. At the age of 14 or 15, he went to work with his uncle, a woodcarver living in Quebec City, employed in the shipbuilding industry. He apprenticed with Fran├žois-Xavier Berlinquet in Quebec City, and later with the English sculptor William Bolton in New York.
