Shannon resident Dominic Larocque, 26, turned to sledge hockey after losing part of his left leg in an explosion in Afghanistan. He and his teammates will be going for gold in sledge hockey at this week's Paralympic tournament.

On the last day of the Sochi Paralympic Games, Canada will go for a historic medal sweep in hockey. After the men's and women's Olympic teams both won their second straight Olympic gold medals last month in Sochi, the sledge hockey team will attempt to go for gold at the Paralympics.

Like the two Olympic teams, the sledge hockey team will rely on a combination of veterans and newcomers.
