Roméo Léger, 58, of Quebec City, formerly of Moncton, N.B., went to be with his Saviour on Friday, May 6, 2016, at Jeffery Hale Hospital in Quebec City after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Pierre and Marie (LeBlanc) Léger. Roméo was employed with General Maintenance at Costco Wholesale. Roméo’s hobby was working with computers and uncovering the mysteries of technology.

Roméo will be sadly missed by his daughter, Vanessa Léger and son, Gabriel Léger; granddaughters, Maïa and Victoria; Sylvie Beaudet, long-time friend and mother of his children; sisters, Phyllis Morton (Cecil), Dorine Melanson (Louis), Francine Léger-Guitard (Gabriel); brothers, Raymond Léger (Lorraine), Leo Léger, Robert Léger (Judy) and Paul Léger (Jeannette); many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an older brother, Roméo Léger. 

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506 858-1995) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., with Mr. Gerald St. Laurent officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. 

In Roméo’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society or a memorial of the donor’s choice.
