And they’re off! Cyclists run from the starting line to their bikes to complete one to three laps of 3.2 kilometres. The Pentathlon des Neiges consists of a five-leg race: cycling, running, cross-country skiing, skating and snowshoeing.

The Pentathlon des Neiges returned to the Plains of Abraham with a record-breaking number of participants. From Feb. 22 to March 1, this unique multi-sport event has attracted 6,000 athletes ready to run, bike, snowshoe, cross-country ski and/or skate. Since 2005, the pentathlon has encouraged people of all ages to discover, practise and enjoy winter sports.
