Rachel GINGRAS (1949-2018)

A year has already gone by, dear Rachel, since you passed away on Saturday, August 11th, 2018, in the Palliative Care Unit of Jeffery Hale Hospital in Quebec City. Your death has left a sad emptiness in the lives of your many good friends in Québec, Rivière-du-Loup, Montréal and Gatineau.

You did not wish to have a formal funeral service; instead, you wanted your friends to get together to celebrate your life and exchange memories of you. You would have been happy and proud of the celebration held on July 1st in your former house in Saint Patrick’s, Rivière-du-Loup. The festivities were commensurate with our love for you. Rest in peace, dear friend, and know that you remain alive in our hearts.

[Rachel was the beloved daughter of the late Damien Gingras of Saint-Ubalde-de-Portneuf and Montréal (1899-1992), and the late Néléda Laforest of Rivière-du-Loup and Montréal (1911-2005). She was 69 years old when she left us.]
