Patrice Bergeron (37) and Simon Gagné (12), hosts of the Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron, won’t be able to hold their annual fundraising game this year, due to the Quebec government’s ban on large sporting events until after Aug. 31.

The organizers of the 12th annual Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron, which was to take place at the Videotron Centre on Aug. 6, have officially cancelled the event for 2020.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the Quebec government’s ban on large-scale events until Aug. 31, there was no possible way this popular fundraising hockey game could be held.
