Part 3 of Visions of Community – Boats

This model of the side-wheel paddle steamship SS Royal William is on permanent display in the old prison cells of the Morrin Centre. Built in Quebec City in 1831, it was one of the first ships to cross the Atlantic Ocean almost entirely under steam power. The sails were only used during periods of boiler maintenance.

That is the slogan for the Visions of Community three-part workshop organized by Sarah and Louisa Blair and led by new-media artist, Louis-Robert Bouchard.
