Christmas Hamper Campaign begins preparations for Drive

With Christmas less than two months away members of the Community Christmas Hamper Committee are busily preparing for the 13th Annual Hamper Drive, which will run from Sunday, November 9 to Sunday, December 14.

Volunteers will help to delivery bountiful hampers on Saturday, December 20, just in time for the holidays.

Once again, we are appealing to you, the community, to help us reach our objective of $20,000. Your  generosity has allowed us to reach our goal in years past; we couldn’t do it without you! Together, we helped 227 families in need in our community in 2007 and this year we hope to bring Christmas cheer to those who need it most. Donations of non-perishable foods such as cereal, canned goods, coffee, tea, pasta and condiments are also needed. These can be dropped off at most of our local English-speaking churches, schools, and community organizations. For a full list of drop off sites please consult the What’s New section of Jeffery Hale Community Services website: www.jefferyhale.org.

Your financial donations allow us to purchase the ingredients for a festive Christmas dinner for each hamper recipient. Please make your cheques out to Community Christmas Hamper Campaign and forward them in care of (c/o) Jeffrey Hale Community Services 1250, chemin Ste-Foy, Québec, QC G1S 2M6.

Tax receipts will be issued for donations of over $10. If you would like to help out with the preparation of the Christmas hampers or with delivery, please call us at the Community Christmas Hamper Campaign headquarters at 418-684-5333 ext. 1580 and ask for the Community Organizer. We thank you for your continued support and kindness.
