Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. George Matthew Adams

With Christmas less than two months away, we,  the Community Christmas Hamper Committee, are busily preparing for our 13th Annual Hamper Drive which will run from Sunday, November 9th to Sunday, December 14th. Volunteers will help to delivery bountiful hampers on Saturday, December 20tt, just in time for the holidays.  Once again, we are appealing to you, the community, to help us reach our objective of $20,000. Your generosity has allowed us to reach our goal in years past; we couldn’t do it without you! Together, we helped 227 families in need in our community in 2007 and this year we hope to bring Christmas cheer to those who need it most. Donations of non-perishable foods such as cereal, canned goods, coffee, tea, pasta and condiments are also needed. These can be dropped off at most of our local English-speaking churches, schools, and community organizations. For a full list of drop off sites please consult the What’s New section of Jeffery Hale Community Services website: www.jefferyhale.org

Your financial donations allow us to purchase the ingredients for a festive Christmas dinner for each hamper recipient. Please make your cheques out to: Community Christmas Hamper Campaign and forward them
