After a tightly contested first period that ended on a 1-1 score, the team stepped on the gas pedal to cruise to the win.  You could feel the nervousness in the first period; Sticks seemed heavy, passes were not precise, positioning was not very good.  Goalie Cedrick Lafrance was tested a few times in this period, but made key saves for the Lions.

Coach Labadie must have corrected things in the first intermission, as the team looked different in the second period.  The team skated a lot better in the second period, and the speed of the first two lines proved to be to much as the overpowered their rivals.  Laurent Dumont and Samuel Cardinal Bradette lead the way with 2 goals each.

The Lions lost the second game of the home-and-home series on Sunday by the score of 5 to 3.

The Lions next home game will be this coming Saturday, September 20 at 19h at Acti-Vital (St. Augustin) as the Draveurs from Trois-Rivieres will be the visitors.
