Popular Quebec singer Kevin Parent says he was attacked the night of Feb. 12 by a group of what he said were 10 people causing him to suffer a concussion and caused him to cut short his Feb. 17 performance at the Olympic Games. Parent, though, said he declined to press charges.

CQSB Performing Arts Festival

I had the pleasure of a spontaneous evening out last week with my wife to listen to Destino, a crossover "popera" group that has just finished touring the province (24 shows from Havre-St-Pierre to Richmond!). Robert Lepage teams up with Cirque du Soleil to create a show featuring First Nations

Robert Lepage visited the Huron-Wendat annual pow wow last week, organized by Tourisme Wendake, and word has it that he will be starting a new project with Cirque du Soleil to feature First Nations' culture. Details of the show are not yet out but it could be slated for 2010.
