The Commission scolaire de la Capitale has proposed a plan for the abandoned Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste to be used as a space for activities by students of the adjacent elementary school.

Quebec Mayor Régis Labeaume has given his blessing to a plan to use the abandoned Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste on Rue Saint-Jean to expand activities at the adjacent Saint-Jean-Baptiste elementary school.

Labeaume’s endorsement of the plan is on his “shopping list” of projects for which the city plans to seek financial support from the party that forms the next federal government.
