Quebec premier Philippe Couillard (seated), Cultural Heritage Trust chairman Marcel Barthe, MP and minister of Infrastructure Denis Lebel, MNA and minister of Culture and Communication Hélène David, Cardinal Gérald Lacroix, Superior General of the Fédération des monastères des Augustines Sister Lise Tanguay and Quebec City mayor Régis Labeaume signed the Golden Book officializing a new chapter in the history of Le Monastère des Augustines.

On September 30, the Augustinian Sisters of Québec officially opened Le Monastère des Augustines, now transformed into a “haven of heritage, culture and wellness” with a new vocation as a hospice for travellers, caregivers and families of those who are ill. Many dignitaries were on hand for the ceremony held in the monastery’s historic chapel.
